Mass MoCA Inspires

My sister was visiting from Arizona, and we decided to meet up at Mass MoCA in North Adams today. Modern Art can sometimes be "weird", but, while there is still definitely some of that, we decided a lot of the current art on display at Mass MoCA is actually pretty "cool."

Here are a few of my favorite captures.

Elizabeth King films animations using wonderful lifelike models like the one shown below.

Head Model

Tanja Hollander took several hundred photos of all her Facebook "friends." That's my sister checking them out.

Trying to Take It All In

This is some of Nick Cave's work:

Hanging Sparkly Stuff

Blue Teardrop

Feet from a larger - amazing - hanging statue. This was in Mass MoCA's brand new wing which has only been open three and a half weeks.

Lovers' Feet

This room was *really, really* dark. This is a one second handheld exposure. The people in the photo are using 3D virtual reality headgear:

Blue Room

All photos taken by Philip Bosinoff in 2017. Mass MOCA gave me permission to take the images, but since they are of other published works of art, their copyright status is unclear.
