May 2022 Blooms

These are various May blooms, all from our garden, except for a few of the dogwoods and the violets, which were photographed in the neighborhood during one of my regular walks.

Shown are fruit trees (cherry, crab), dogwoods, Camas lily, mountain bluet, violets, and irises.

These daffodils were in a vase and photographed indoors. Thanks for the indoor photo fodder, Diana!

Color in the Sun

Mother nature sure knows how to put on a display. In bright sun, spring flowers impress and entrance. They pull me in to get a closer look, to enjoy their intricate and elegant design.

Here's a sample of some of my recent favorites of flowers that burst with color, especially when graced with warm sun.

All but one of these irises are bearded irises. Photos are taken with my 12-40mm and my 60mm lenses.

Enjoy!

Inviting Iris

These next two photos were taken indoors, on our windowsill, with the morning sun streaming in:

Awash with Light

Back outside, this iris shows a pleasing color combination:

The only non-iris in this post, this is an allium, not yet fully bloomed:

Purple Risers
